Imagine this: Five nights of non-stop rock and roll with some of the biggest rock stars in the business. Sounds like a rock festival? It’s more. It’s a floating rock festival aboard Royal Caribbean’s cruise ship Independence of the Seas.
Now in it’s 8th year, Rock Legends Cruise attracts 4,370 rock music fans to meet, hear and hang out with some of rock history’s biggest musicians of all time. This February, Roger Daltrey (The Who), Nancy Wilson (Heart), and Roger Hodgson (Supertramp) will be headlining and will join 19 other performers: Robby Krieger, UFO, Uriah Heep, Jonny Lang, Sebastian Bach, Elvin Bishop, Mark Farner, Atlanta Rhythm Section, The Immediate Family, Wet Willie, The Artimus Pyle Band, Head East, Gary Hoey, Angel, Larkin Poe, Two Wolf, Brandon “Taz” Niederaurer, Cour Supreme, and Goose.
We are particularly excited to see Simon Townshend again. Simon is Roger Daltrey’s guitarist and we had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing him when he was promoting his new album “Looking Out, Looking In”. Read the interview and concert review.
On February 27, T-Mak World will board Rock Legends Cruise VIII in Port Everglades Florida and set sail for an epic party on the Caribbean Sea. We call it a slice of rock and roll heaven! All day and night artists will perform in as many as five different venues. Signed memorabilia auctions, photo ops, and meet and greets happen throughout the day. There’s also so much to do on the cruise ship itself – swimming pools, mini golf, rock climbing wall, escape room, shops, restaurants, surf simulator, spa, casino, and the list goes on. And when we need a break from it all, the ship docks for one day in the Cayman Islands – the culinary capital of the Caribbean. This breathtaking island features some of the world’s most pristine aquamarine waters and white powdery sand beaches.
Well if that isn’t awesome enough, Rock Legends Cruise is a cruise for a cause. Non-profit Native American Heritage Association (NAHA) organizes the annual cruise getaway with all proceeds going to help support the Lakota (Sioux) on Reservations in South Dakota and Wyoming in the form of direct aid (food, clothing, and basic life necessities).
Rock Legends Cruise has gained so much popularity among the rock and roll community that it actually sells out BEFORE the line up is even finalized. Next year’s cruise for 2021 was announced in October 2019 (with a stop in Cozumel Mexico) and rooms are selling out quickly. If you want to take part in this year’s unforgettable adventure, get yourself on the 2020 waitlist or follow Rock Legends Cruise Fans on Facebook. Or you can lock in your spot for 2021 where Styx, Don McLean and Blue Oyster Cult are already confirmed.
We are beyond excited to report back live from Rock Legends Cruise VIII Feb 27-Mar 2 2020. If you’re going to be on the 2020 cruise next month, let us know! We’d love to meet you. Otherwise, be sure to follow and watch T-Mak World’s YouTube, Twitter and Instagram channels for live posts and videos from the ship.
