The Giver Screener Contest

How about seeing an advance screening of The Giver in Toronto?  If you are a reader of  T-Mak World and have a bit of luck on your side, we can get you there thanks to eOne Films. We have 5 double passes to see that movie in Toronto on Wednesday August 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the Cineplex Odeon Yonge & Dundas Cinemas (10 Dundas Street East). Here is the movie synopsis to get you excited about The Giver screener contest:

The haunting story of THE GIVER centers on Jonas, who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community. The film is based on Lois Lowry’s beloved young adult novel of the same name, which was the winner the 1994 Newbury Medal and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

Contest ends 12:00PM (noon) EST Tuesday August 12th, winners are randomly selected and must be 18 and over. We will contact winners through the email they used to enter, and they will need to provide us with their name and e-mail for the tickets to be sent. You are agreeing to these conditions by entering the draw.

PLEASE NOTE: An invite to the advance screening does not guarantee admission – you need to get there early to ensure you get in – that’s the way the movie studios ensure that all the seats are used during these presentations. Be forewarned.
