May 28 2013 – TimeGiant is a classic 70’s rock infused hard rock band from Toronto that we cover a lot on T-Mak World. Not only is their brand of music exactly what we love, their bar shows are full of infectious energy that never disappoint. There is something satisfying and natural about watching a hard rock band rocking out with long hair and riff fueled music. TimeGiant is composed of Tyrone Buccione (lead guitar, vocals), Charlie McKittrick (drums, backing vocals), Ryan Watson (rhythm guitars), Pat Wilken (bass). To add to the festive spirit tonight was Wilken’s birthday and we surprised him with some on stage shots of JD to accompany the crowd singing him happy birthday.
Tonight the band was in top form and took the opportunity to introduce Toronto to 2 new songs they are working on. One of the songs, Stronger Than Before featured Charlie McKittrick (the band’s drummer) on vocals and reminded of Triumph with their dual vocalists. It was a melodic rocker which sounded like something out of Bob Seger. The other new song, We Become The Night, was born from a seed that AC/DC must have left in Toronto and was pure hard rock. Beyond that the band delivered their usual staples including Blind, Farcaster, White Window, Been Here Before, and their latest single I Am The Fire. The only let down of the show was that the usual drum solo segment was removed tonight (to make more time for the new songs) – we think it permanently belongs in the set regardless of song selection.
One of the best things at a TimeGiant show is the epic endings. The guys hammer their instruments in unison, and frontman Buccione climbs speakers in search of a perfect jumping point. These guys continue to remind Toronto what “real rock” should sound like and their show finale is a spectacle in itself. If you want to read more about TimeGiant just do a search on T-Mak World we have dozens of articles. For now we leave you with some images from this show dripping in rock and roll goodness the way its meant to be.

Was a great show by Time Giant.
What was the set opening song?
The dual guitar part in the middle reminded me of the Allman Brothers.
Was a great set only too short.
Sorry to say but could have done without Bonwit Teller. IMO they are poor at best.
Opening band was pretty good but did not see much of them since Time Giants guest list was not in place yet.
Terry could you please post on here when they are having a show with maybe only one other band. Would like to see them play longer or even two sets would be great.
Didn’t know you were there or I would have bought you a drink for winning the tickets to Comfortably Numb. Take care, Jim.

Hey Jim! The opening song is called The Reason. Their sets are usually that length as they have to share the bill with 2 other bands. They are opening up for Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience in July in Buffalo, that will be killer. I will definitely post when they do a full set.
