“Putting these events side-by-side created a situation where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” said Gerry Ginsberg, General Manager of Canada Blooms. “We believe this co-location allowed us to achieve a new standard of excellence and significantly enhances the customer experience for hundreds of thousands of garden and home enthusiasts that visit these events each year.”
As took place in 2012, each event will maintain its own identity and operate separately, expanding into a footprint of 600,000 square feet – Canada’s largest consumer event under one roof.

The theme of this year’s festival is “The Magic of Spring”. Spring is a time of rejuvenation, regeneration, romanticism, growth, hope, gardening, beauty, colour and a revival of the soul for Canadians. A special time of year when many flowering plants bloom in a long succession beginning even if snow is still on the ground. With Spring come revival, rejuvenation, regeneration, romanticism, growth, hope, gardening, beauty, colour and a celebration of a special time of year.
Canada Blooms proudly presents its 2013 theme “The Magic of Spring” to celebrate this special time of year in Ontario.

Canada Blooms 2013 floral image is the Hellebore, a flower of immense popularity, that is the harbingers of spring; blooming just above the snow during the first peak of spring weather. The Hellebore has been discovered and is appreciated by a multitude of gardeners, designers and the general public. There are a multitude of species and varieties of hellebores on the market now. They come in the most beautiful colours and the blooms tend to last sometimes for months. They have magnificent evergreen foliage that look great in the garden or in a floral arrangement. They are very hardy, can be garden plants or container plants and their foliage is always beautiful.
