January 25, 2013 – Distressed that catl is now on hiatus? So are we, but never fear, Oshawa’s Micronite Filters are playing the Bovine Sex Club tonight, Friday, January 25, (with Little Foot Long Foot also on the bill playing some killer new songs!) to celebrate the pending release of their great new CD “Chasing Ghosts” on January 29.

A little more polished and refined than their The Wrong Side of the Tracks EP released last June, Chasing Ghosts is heavy swampy, Delta blues filled with slide guitar, horns and harmonica. The band has evolved from their heavy blues rock origins of “Rocket From Infinity”. One surprise on the new CD is Hit the Hammer On the Nail which was on last year’s EP (featuring Little Foot Long Foot’s Joan on vocals). The new version has the piano replaced by a psychedelic organ. The band travelled to Mississippi to record Chasing Ghosts to enhance the southern vibe.

That is too bad. Sounds like a great show. It is a triple bill too.
Can't go as me and my step son are going to Soundgarden.
