August 23 2023 – Sunny summer day + Kim Mitchell at the Canadian National Exhibition = Lets Go to The Ex!
We asked our photographer Michael to capture some moments of a great CNE day. Since the weather was as good as it got this August the crowds were out to enjoy the best of what the fair has to offer. Of course the main highlight for us was to catch Kim Mitchell at the Bandshell playing songs from his solo catalogue and of course some crowd favorites from his former band Max Webster. Somehow it just seems a rockland wonderland when a “hometown” boy plays the Ex.
Kim Mitchell was an excellent addition to the Bandshell and was actually one of the very few true rock performances at that venue this year, we truly hope the CNE will consider more real rock for next year as we believe that there is still a very large audience for classic rock as proven by the turnout for Kim Mitchell tonight.
