Nov. 9 2015 – The Dyadics played The Cage 292 on College on October 29th. It was their second local show in support of their newly released album Deus Ex Machina. Terry Makedon got an early listen to Deus Ex Machina back in August before it was released and said here “It is truly an emotional voyage that is best experienced in its entirety. The songs all flow together but vary in style very much like Pink Floyd’s The Wall. Certainly one of the best albums released in 2015 the live rendition of it will be quite an experience.” Quite an acurate prediction. The show was amazing.
Like their August show at the Bovine, they had some additional players helping out and they’ve never sounded better. Bryan Hart of the Neverending White Lights was on keyboards. Also helping were Michelle Hermansen and Jane Carmichael, wife of frontman Kevin Kennedy, on backing vocals. It would be great if they became permanent members of the band. Lucky for us, the show was a little longer than average and most, if not all, of Deus Ex Machina was played, including The Times, Wedding Aniversary, answering the question of Where Have You Gone was I Don’t Wanna Know Where You Are. Unquestionably the highlight of the show was their new signature song song Livin’ The Dream, a thunderous burner with a great riff and some cool keyboard fills.
