September 2, 2015 – Fashionistas will delight at the launch of TMR Collection, a new label based in Toronto and founded by Canadian designer Tara Rivas. TMR debuted the inaugural Fall/Winter 2015 Collection with a launch party at Montecito restaurant showcasing timeless, versatile and refined pieces that will never go out of style. The launch brought out A-Listers such as Elisha Cuthbert and CBC’s Naomi Snieckus for champagne and delicious hor d’oeuvres.
Rivas credits her parents and friends as inspiration, while her European roots and love of fashion sparked her desire to design her own line.
The must-have items include the reversible Portland Dress in burgundy and charcoal grey or cement and black offering a look that easily transitions from day to night, the chick Davenport Blazer in black or charcoal with black mesh inserts and side slits, and the unique black mesh Hazelton Jacket with stretch inserts inside sleeves, a piece Rivas believes will be the best seller.
The collection is simple, yet through subtle design cues, cuts and fabrics it offers a refreshing approach to ready-to-wear clothing that women of all ages would appreciate.
TMR Collection is designed and manufactured in Toronto, with locally sourced fabrics supporting the Canadian apparel industry.
