Apr 30 2015 – One of the highlights of the music calendar, Canadian Music Week (CMW), starts May 1 2015. For the high demand headliner shows like Faith No More, there is a CMW lottery that allows wristband holders the opportunity to have certainty of knowing if they’ll have access to the show. That’s the good news. The bad news is some of the lotteries, like Metz, are already over. Here’s the link to the lottery.
We’re expecting it will a festival of discovery this year as many of our local and national favourites are not playing this year. We are eager to spend more time seeing new bands. There are hundreds of bands playing at dozens of venues, so as always, we present our T-Mak World CMW 2015 Recommendations for Rock. If you are not familiar with T-Mak World our only focus is what we call #RealRock – guitar fueled and steeped in the influence of the masters from the last 40 years – music that in the future has the possibility of being on the same mantle with bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, My Morning Jacket or Rival Sons.
