Oct 14, 2014 – It’s festival time again. Indie Week Canada starts tomorrow through Sunday night. Indie Week is a competitive format with each band endeavouring to win their respective venue for the night and move on to “semi-final playoffs” on Saturday night. This year the week wraps up at The Mod Club (722 College St.) for the Finals.
Last year’s Indie Week gave us two great discoveries of Open Air and Frankie McQueen, both of whom are returning this year, and we hoping for more this year. As always, there are lots of bands and lots of venues so to simply, we present our condensed recommendations list of bands that rock. There will inevitably be multiple good bands playing at the same time, but that is a good problem to have.
