August 14 2014 – TimeGiant stormed the friendly confines of Hamilton, Ontario which is drummer Charlie McKittrick‘s hometown, and served notice. The band turned up the heat level at Stonewall’s with a hit packed set that included all of their greatest tunes.
Bassist Patrick Wilken and Guitarist Ryan Watson provided thunderous flank to Tyrone Buccione (Vocalist, Guitarist, Saxophonist) who took the crowd into his grasp and did not relent his driving rock attack until the final sweaty note. TimeGiant are a real rock n roll band that have no reliance on hipster beards or fiddles to ply their trade. Watching TimeGiant is a forceful reminder of how good and emotional rock was in the 70’s – these guys who werent even born until well into the 80’s have somehow captured rock’s most illustrious decade and are serving it around their homebase of Toronto. If you like rock do not miss TimeGiant – in fact they have 2 shows coming up August 29 2014 at The El Mocambo and September 20th opening up for prog giants Druckfarben at The Rockpile East.
Highlights of the night include the band’s new single – The Real Thing (truly a song not to be missed), an epic version of After the Battle at Mt. Meggido, an unexpected ELO cover, and an insane McKittrick solo that put an exclamation mark in the middle of the set.
