After a busy year touring Canada and the U.S., Toronto-based catl. have returned from the road as a slamming rock n’ roll duo.
Sarah K. crushing the stand-up drum kit and Jamie Fleming rockin’ the old Gretsch archtop. These rhythm n’ blues howlers are ready to release their 4th LP of 10 original rockers called This Shakin’ House.
The band headed south to Memphis, TN to record with engineer Adam Hill (Jack White, The Raconteurs) at Ardent Studios. The studio was steeped with the rock and soul of decades past which influenced This Shakin’ House to become their most cohesive and dance-floor friendly effort yet.
After spending one week recording at Ardent, the record was then busted back up the I-75 to the familiar ground of Detroit’s Ghetto Recorders to mix with their old friend Jim Diamond (Dirt Bombs, The Sonics).
The duo played all the instruments on this LP with guest harmonica appearances from Pete Ross (The Speaking Tongues) and Danny Kroha (The Gories, Demolition Doll Rods).
This Shakin’ House will be available in stores April 29th, followed by record release shows throughout the spring across North America. Stay tuned and bring your dancing shoes!
