Mar 3, 2014 – Stone River at The Hideout is a special experience that must never be missed. They were one of our Top 10 Indie Bands of 2013 and we love all their shows anywhere they may play, but at The Hideout is when they’re at their best. For those unfamiliar with Stone River, they play smooth southern blues rock and do it better than anyone else around. With four guitars (including the bass) they have a deep rich layered sound and, after setting the mood with some incense that fills the room, often play long transcendent jams.
Fueled by an energetic capacity crowd the band merged two planned sets into one very long one with multiple encores. Highlights were Jumping Jack Flash, which would have closed the first set, if there had been a first set, Hanging In The Bowline, newly rewritten for the new album and Euphoria, title track of said new album, due to be released this month. No question, this will be one of our most anticipated releases of 2014.
