February 12 2014 – Every year we publish our collection of must see gigs that pass through our lovely town (and surrounding areas). This list of Toronto Rock Concerts 2014 is an ongoing list and is broken down by month. With dozens or hundreds of great rock acts passing through here are the ones that have us most excited.
February 2014 – Must See Toronto Rock Concerts
February 26 2014 – Kings of Leon at Air Canada Center, Toronto
Here is a band we are very excited to see live for the first time and see if the reality lives up to the hype. Considered the current kings of arena rock (while the Foos are not on tour) this will be a sold out show at the Air Canada Center so if you have any desire to go get your tickets before they are gone. Their Mechanical Bull album of last year charted as our number 4 album of 2013.
March 2014 – Must See Toronto Rock Concerts
March 29 2014 – Yes at GM Center, Oshawa
We saw Yes on their current tour last year at Massey Hall in Toronto and were so impressed that we strongly recommend the drive to Oshawa. We will be doing so for sure! A chance to see 3 70’s era Yes albums end to end Close To The Edge, Going For The One, and The Yes Album will all be played. Check out our review from last year and join us in Oshawa for a fun night!
April 2014 – Must See Toronto Rock Concerts
April 8 2014 – Brit Floyd at Sony Center, Toronto
T-Mak World is a website whose main musical loves are Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Since we will never see Pink Floyd ever again, we have to do with the next best thing we have ever seen which is Brit Floyd an incredibly good tribute band. This show is not your typical bar tribute show, with million dollar lasers and full projections and even a flying pig. You will not believe how good this band is and they get our highest recommendations. The spirit of Pink Floyd lives.
April 11 2014 – Black Sabbath at FirstOntario Centre, Hamilton
If you missed Sabbath last year at the ACC here is another chance to catch them just down the road to Hamilton. Easily one of the best concerts we have ever seen and Ozzy is in top form (hard to believe but true), Iommi is better than ever, Butler is wicked on bass, and Cluefetos is an insanely good replacement for Ward. Hamilton will get rocked to its soul and we are ready for a road trip for this one!

June 2014 – Must See Toronto Rock Concerts
June 19 2014 – Steve Miller Band and Journey at Molson Amphitheater, Toronto
A couple of big bands from the 70’s playing the nostalgia circuit. Each on its own wouldn’t be enough to get us excited but a warm summer night on the waterfront and two classic rock bands means that this might go down as a great time. Tons of lineup changes from their original form, but there will be plenty of familiar songs.
July 2014 – Must See Toronto Rock Concerts
July 27 2014 – Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden at Molson Amphitheater, Toronto
A great double header featuring SoundGarden (who played Toronto early 2013 in a much smaller venue – The Sound Academy) and Nine Inch Nails. Trent Reznor and Chris Cornell will provide tons of fireworks for what will surely by a hot sticky night by the lake. Do not miss out on this one.
August 2014 – Must See Toronto Rock Concerts
August 10 2014 – Motley Crue with Alice Cooper at Molson Amphitheater, Toronto
The farewell tour? Can it be? Oh nooooo…. I would bet anything that this marketing gimmick is great for ticket sales but there is no chance this will be the last time any of us get to see the Crue play. In 2012 they were here as openers to KISS but this time they found a way to keep the headline on themselves. Either way this will be a great night of good old rock n’ roll. All the seats are already sold out for this one so if you really wanna go, get yourself a lawn seat asap.
July 27 2014 – Def Leppard and KISS at Molson Amphitheater, Toronto
Here are two bands that make the Amphitheater a regulars stop, 2012 had KISS here along with Motley Crue, and 2011 had Def Leppard here along with Heart. Doubling up seems the way to go for these old time bands, but we aint complaining. With a gazzilion albums sold between the two of them, it is clear the hits will be rock steady all night long.
