Jan 6 2013 – We last caught The Micronite Filters at The Atria in Oshawa last January when they were releasing their incredible album Chasing Ghosts. Less than a year later, they were in town at the Horseshoe Tavern last Thursday with another great album, Wizard Blood and on a bitterly cold night, The Micronite Filters supplied the heat. They play dirty, gritty Mississippi blues characterized in large part by the distinctive sax style. Have a listen to The Ballad Of The Banker’s Son below.
