January 3 2014 – On Saturday December 14 2013 the first big snowfall of the season hit Toronto and really impacted people’s ability or willingness to go out that night. That did not prevent the faithful for trekking to the relatively new Rockpile East to catch a Motley Crue flavoured sandwich. The main ingredient for the night was John Corabi who was the vocalist of the Crue from 1992-1996 when Vince Neil was not part of the band.
On either end of Corabi were opening and closing sets by CRUED a band we really dig. Corabi delivered an hour long acoustic set which featured his big hit with Motley Crue Hooligan’s Holiday. The really cool thing was that Corabi joined CRUED on stage the previous night at The Rockpile West to sing the song with the band. Check out the video here.
CRUED delivered a wicked set as they did last time (we strongly recommend you read our Monsters of Mock show review here as we get into full details on CRUED). The two sets provided an excellent way to enjoy the band and everyone in attendance was fully blown away. We cant say enough about how much fun these guys have on stage and how fun it is to watch them.
The setlist was as follows:
Set 1
Looks That Kill Piece Of Your Action Knock ‘Em Dead Public Enemy #1 Saints of L.A. Louder Than Hell Bastard Primal Scream Too Young To Fall in Love Smokin In The Boys Room Too Fast For Love Shout At The DevilSet 2
Dr. Feelgood Take Me To The Top Don’t Go Away Mad Same ‘Ol Situation Red Hot 10 Seconds To Love Danger Helter Skelter Livewire Anarchy In The USA Wildside Girls Girls Girls Kickstart My HeartAs soon as CRUED got off stage we caught up with them and were able to interview them briefly after the show. Check out our video of the interview below:
We leave you with some pictures of the night but overall anyone that braved the snow storm had a fantastic night out.
