Oct 16 2013 – Imagine if you will going to a pub and the house band is two rock legends that are playing a variety of classic rock staples. Well that can be easily attained if you catch The Phil and John Show that play in various pubs in Toronto. Last night the location was The Foggy Dew and these two guys proved they have more talent in their pinkies than most any other pub act you will ever see.
The Phil and John Show features Phil Naro (an Emmy award winning rocker that we have reviewed multiple times with his various bands on T-Mak World) and John Rogers (keyboardist of Canadian rock band Brighton Rock). The show concept is fairly simple, two dudes sitting on stools with their guitars and taking turns singing while both are playing their 6 strings.
The Phil and John show earns the highest possible recommendation from us and as far as pub music goes we can guarantee a great time (you are on your own for food recommendations though). Here is a video of Phil and John performing Genesis’s That’s All (from a different show)
