September 18 2013 – Imagine seeing AC/DC, and then Ozzy do some solo material and also with some Black Sabbath, and finally Motley Crue. Well since that aint ever gonna happen on the same bill why not go see the next best thing a killer tribute show with all three bands being represented.
For Those About To Rock is the name of the AC/DC tribute band whose bio reads: In August of 2003, FTATR was founded with the intention of being the absolutely best sounding AC/DC tribute band anywhere. Powerful vocals emulating both Bon Scott & Brian Johnson, Angus Young’s infamous school boy outfit and his legendary guitar wizardry, the coolest looking drum kit with standing kick drums (a la Chris Slade, circa. 1990) and solid rythym and bass that never miss a beat. Throw in a passion for perfection and you have FTATR.
Blizzard Of Ozz is the Ozzy/Black Sabbath tribute band. “The Ultimate Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne featuring members from past tribute and original bands such as Inner Thought, Smeer, That 70’s Band, Just Alice, Blackwell and Crazy Babies.”
The headliners tonight though are CRUED and the occasion for the gig is the 30 year anniversary of Motley Crue’s breakthrough album Shout At The Devil (which was released September 26 1983). The album is 4X platinum in the US (4 million sold) and features some of the Crue’s best work in songs such as Too Young To Fall In Love, Shout at the Devil and Looks That Kill. This is the album that almost single handedly created the hair metal scene of the 80’s. We got word that CRUED will be joined by members of the Diemonds for Same Old Situation and if you know the Diemonds this will be an insane party track.
