Jun 12 2013 – Collage art is a technique of an art production where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms while creating a new whole. The origins of collage can be traced back hundreds of years; however, this technique has made an apparent reappearance in the recent years within the art community. During the month of July, Steam Whistle Brewing will host “The Collage Art Exhibit” featuring 8 local collage artists. The works range from finding a balance between context and aesthetic, education inspired pieces promoting conceptual investigation, and exploring diverse neighbourhoods throughout Toronto – just to name a few.
Please join us between 7pm-11pm on Wednesday, July 3rd 2013 at Steam Whistle Brewing (255 Bremner Blvd) for the opening of this exciting gallery show. The exhibit will also be on display during the month of July 2013.
