June 12 2013 – …..Toronto, we have lift off!
After a one year wait, the sweet music of NXNE is back for the patrons of the downtown bar scene to enjoy. We will be out covering it in full force and here is what we recommend for today for lovers of real rock. 15 sweet choices that will get your soul charged with thunderous drums, riffy guitars and booming bass.
Also below is what NXNE recommends – these selections have not been researched by the staff at T-Mak World so we have no say on whether our readers will enjoy them or not. We present them to see what might be considered hot in other circles.

Tommy Brunett 11pm Dakota Tavern (249 Ossington Avenue)
Tommy Brunett performs with Andy Kim. Rock n’ roll tangled with country, with references to the old-school troubadours of Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, and Hank Williams and the more sedated punk edge of Social Distortion.
BABYSITTER 12am The Detour Bar (193 ½ Baldwin Street)
Prolific garage punk band with over 15 releases since their formation in 2010. These west coast rock and roll revolutionaries have a uniquely skewed take on anthemic grunge, recalling Archers of Loaf, Pavement, and even Neil Young.
