March 17 2013 – Black Sabbath (well at least 3/4 of the original lineup) has been working on a new record entitled “13” and will be released June 11. To accompany that much anticipated release Sabbath which now consists of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler will go on a world tour to promote the release. Toronto has been confirmed by Blabbermouth.com as the first announced North American date. Mark down August 14 2013 on your calendar because the Air Canada Center will be throbbing with the sounds of songs like Sweat Leaf, War Pigs and Iron Man. The band’s original drummer Bill Ward is not part of the lineup due to contract disputes so the 3 founding fathers replaced him (very unfortunately in our opinion) with Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine on the album. No information on who will be drumming on the tour yet. Tickets go on sale April 13 so save those pennies (or I guess nickels these days – RIP “Canadian penny”) and dont hesitate to purchase at the onsale time, this show will be a 100% sold out.
