January 10 2013 – Every year the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is the main podium for tech companies to announce products of all kinds. Having been there over 10 years in a row I can tell you that being there is very overwhelming with tens of thousands of products all trying to get noticed. While most of the focus this year appears to be on the new 4K resolution TV’s and uber high end technology products that most will never afford, we take a look at some offerings from a company that has gadgets and devices that are a perfect fit for our readers. ION Audio had 10 press releases during CES and we take a look at them below!
Vinyl Forever – A $30 RCA to USB dongle which lets you plug in your exiting turntable into your PC in order to either play your records through your PC or digitize your vinyl collection. Product page is here.

Tailgater Bluetooth and Block Rocker Bluetooth – A portable sound system with bluetooth support. These two products (priced at $169 and $199 respectively) let you stream your music from your iOS or Android device throught bluetooth. They also feature AM/FM radio and a mic for a make shift karaoke party.

Road Rocker – This $99 compact speaker system features Bluetooth so that you can stream music wirelessly from any Bluetooth player. This seems to be similiar to the products above but just a smaller size and without the radio and mic capabilities.

PICS 2 GO – Photo, slide and negative scanner for iPhone 4/4S. Quite simple if you have photos, slides or negatives you can use this handy device to digitize them directly without a PC. Pricing info not available.

Phone Station Plus – This one is a speakerphone station for smartphones. It can be used simply as a speaker dock for your device, or even better as a speaker based conference call system. Availability and pricing is not yet announced but this one would be awesome for Skype hands free conference calls. Could become a corporate standard!

LP 2 GO and DUO DECK ULTRA – LP 2 GO and DUO DECK are highly portable turntables that include a speaker, headphone output, battery operation and the ability to convert vinyl records to MP3 music files with just a few mouse clicks. LP 2 GO plays and converts vinyl, and DUO DECK plays and converts both vinyl and cassette tapes.
