The Stanfields |
Nov 22 2012 – We saw The Stanfields at Canada Music Week and really enjoyed their set. They instantly earned a spot on our musical radar. You can read that review here.
The Stanfields have now launched an interactive music video for “Death & Taxes” directed by Aram Kouyoumdjian (Roomtone Productions) using Facebook Connect technology designed and implemented by Emmy Award-winning Jason Nickel (Nickel Media). The music video plays on the apprehension that many of us feel around the privacy of our personal information online. What happens when you click ‘AGREE’? See for yourself:
The Stanfields have just completed a national tour supporting their new album, Death & Taxes. The band filled rooms from coast to coast and is currently performing dates in their home territory of the Maritimes.
Co-produced by The Stanfields and Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Metallica), the band’s new album Death & Taxes is a collection of ten highly-charged tracks that are anthemic in scope and resplendent with The Stanfields‘ trademarks: a folk and punk-tinged blue collar rock ‘n’ roll sound, driving guitar riffs and vocalist/guitarist Jon Landry’s gritty, Tom Waits-esque growl.
The Stanfields‘ amazing live performances have earned them much-lauded opportunities to shine on stages at the Vancouver Olympics, Nova Scotia Music Awards, NXNE, CMW, SXSW, Junofest, and the 2011 Canada Games Opening Ceremonies. They have also shared the stage with Flogging Molly, The Arkells, Big Sugar, Rise Against, The Trews and Matt Mays.
