Nov 21st 2012 – This Guy Dylan Leeder, and This Girl Maria Jose Govea, both love to spend their days doing the exact same thing: photographing people. This mutual appreciation for capturing all kinds of interesting individuals from friends, models, artists, superstar DJs or local legends, has brought them together to give you “This Guy, This Girl”. Ranging from carefully crafted portraits to chaotic images of people in their natural state, this collection of work will introduce a group of truly unforgettable faces and expose great moments of Dylan and Maria’s favourite subjects.
Dylan and Maria have photographed artists such as Roger Waters, Blink 182, Incubus, Dallas Green, Iron and Wine, Cat Power, Jack White, Zeds Dead, Snoop Dog, Two Door Cinema Club, Crystal Castles, Die Antwoord, Grimes, Skrillex, Amon Tobin, Diplo, Armin Van Buuren, Nero, Bassnectar, Annie Mac, Hot Chip, Skream, and Andy C. Come see which photographs will be on display.
The opening show will also feature live music from Toronto’s own Skratch Bastid and The Killabits.

The Opening Night Party will take place on Wednesday December 5th 2012 from 7-11pm at Steam Whistle Brewing at 255 Bremner Blvd or visit the brewery during all of December to see the exhibition.

Steam Whistle Brewing hosts monthly art exhibitions in their Gallery to showcase local creative talent. Although many exhibitors are established artists, some are showing for the first time. Steam Whistle does not charge rent for their gallery space, nor is a commission earned on any works that are sold. At the close of each show, one piece from the show (of the artist’s choice) is donated to their permanent collection bringing further profile to artists through the thousands of visitors to the brewery annually.
