Oct 3 2012 – Word came in today from Portland radio station 92.3 KGON that RUSH has finally been nominated for induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. In a post on the radio station’s Facebook page they seem to have broken the news first.
What is considered the most ridiculous snub in the museum (along with KISS and Deep Purple), the Cleveland landmark and its curators do not feel that RUSH is worthy of a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but somehow Madonna and ABBA belong there. Will this be the year that RUSH finally gets an honor they undoubtedly deserve?
Nomination does not mean induction but it’s only a matter of time before RUSH gets in there, but the boys from YYZ (thats Toronto’s airport code btw) have proven consistently they are as good as any rock band ever.
UPDATE: VOTE FOR RUSH: for the first time ever it is open for public vote – Rush will have no problem at all winning this – go vote here and show some support to classic rock acts Heart and Deep Purple as well.
