July 14, 2012 – TimeGiant returned to the Horseshoe Tavern on Friday night, July 6th, for their first Toronto gig since their NXNE show at The Supermarket last month. As always, the band put on an entertaining high energy show which featured the debut of a new song “Hard Lovin’ Woman” performed publicly for the first time. And judging by the crowd’s reaction they have another fan favourite on their hands.

Speaking of new music, rhythm guitarist Ryan Watson told me, they were going into the studio last Sunday to start recording the drum tracks for their upcoming album. The album is being produced by famed Arkells and Tokyo Police Club producer Jon Drew and will be released later this year.

On a hot steamy night, a packed house of TimeGiant fans enjoyed the powerful AC at the ‘Shoe. TimeGiant crowds continue to grow show to show and the crowds increasingly know the songs and sing along.

Bombing Neverland followed and sounded good. Life Blown Open were headlining but after seeing Sonny Landreth earlier in the night and still on an empty stomach all night, it was time to get some food instead.
