We open on John Dodd (Robert Nolan), a meek, forlorn man as we hear him, through voice over, internalizing the meager prospects of working one more day as the Warden of a prison. His face revealing the grinding years he’s had to endure at this institution as we bare witness to the last vestiges of his meaningless life. This set up allows us to appreciate his dead eyes and quiet struggles as John harnesses the energy to stomach multiple joyless exchanges with his wife Charlotte (Astrida Auza). John loathes his down trodden wife and the voices in his head, start to take the lead in convincing him that further entrapment will come in the form of the child Charlotte is carrying. Fighting to maintain control of his inner demons, and what ever has manifested under his skin, the voices become menacing as his desperation leads him to act out the unthinkable but, is he descending into madness or is there something even more sinister at play.
