March 4 2013 – 2 short months ago we were able to watch Led Zeppelin and KISS perform at The Rockpile. Pretty good lineup wouldnt you say? Well today we might just be able to announce one that is just as impactful. Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones. Of course in an alternate state of reality that lineup might be possible but back here in the real world we are of course talking about tribute bands.
Join us on Friday March 15th at the Rockpile for a one of a kind double bill of classic rock’s royalty. Floyd Factor will be playing Dark Side Of The Moon in it’s entirety! Oh yeaaaa baby.
Floyd Factor – A Pink Floyd Tour De Force
Now in their 8th year, Floyd Factor is one of Canada’s most unique and impressive tribute shows. Performing the peak-period material of Classic Rock legends Pink Floyd, this veteran lineup delivers all the intensity, power, and precision that were a trademark of Pink Floyd’s 1970’s concert performances. Rather than watering down the 70’s Floyd sound, this group has devoted themselves to truly capturing it. This has resulted in the acquisition of a lot of vintage-era equipment, and quite a few fans as well. The band also boasts 5 tremendous vocalists, including the sultry Chloe Watkinson, daughter of Max Webster keyboardist & writer Terry Watkinson. Floyd Factor has built an impressive history of highly successful soft-seat and festival appearances, having wowed audiences of up to 10,000 in the U.S. and Canada. The multi-media version of the group’s show has been referred to as “uncompromisingly Floyd”, and the band’s incredible note-for-note performances of complete albums, such as the classic Dark Side of the Moon and Animals, have cemented their reputation as “the” Floyd band to see in Canada.
