Mad Ones |
Somewhere between hitting the drums as hard as possible and running a guitar through 3 amps, Mad Ones exists- and sounds loud and awesome. Their most recent release “Burning Window” came out on January 29th, and has elements of rock, pop, punk, garage and grunge. This two-piece has shared the stage with Monster Truck, The Lumineers, Young Empires, The Growlers, Murder By Death, Indian Handcrafts, The Dirty Nil and more. Prepare for rock and roll at it’s sweatiest.

Garage rock band Ponctuation, formed by Quebec City brothers Guillaume and Maxime Chiasson, present their first album, 27 Club, available in stores March 19th via Bonsound. Recorded totally on tape, this album is a breath of fresh air to the Franco rock scene with its innovative sound (no-fuss, raw, and rich). Ponctuation have played alongside The Balconies and Sandman Viper Command and at festivals like NXNE and Pop Montreal!

Miesha & The Spanks |
Calgary’s Miesha & The Spanks are purveyors of the most rough-and-tumble, energy driven garage-rock possible. Over the last four years, Miesha & The Spanks have kept up an aggressive tour schedule and released five records- two full lengths and three EP’s, all of which have been successful on the Canadian campus and community radio circuits. Their last full length, Gods Of Love, charted at #40 nationally for the year of 2011. The upcoming release is produced by Ian Blurton (C’mon) and is set to melt faces across the country.

The Meds |
Charlottetown, P.E.I. natives, The Meds, are gearing up for an exciting 2013. The Meds topped off 2012 by releasing their self-titled EP in the fall, as well as opening for Canadian heavy weight Matt Mays on a 6-week, cross-country tour. The Meds had a strong showing at ECMA 2012 as a featured artist on the Breakout Stage, and have enjoyed a string of recent sold-out shows. Of interest, and to the delight of fans, The Meds have developed a popular and critically acclaimed acoustic show that truly demonstrates the incredible musical talent of this group. Don’t miss them rocking stages at East Coast Music Week and Canadian Music Week 2013.

Statue Park |
Statue Park is a Montreal-based band formed by road-worn musicians. They make music by introducing different sounds to each and letting them eat each other alive: drums, laptops, guitars, old synths and amps, tape machines, the odd wind instrument and voices too; anything that can make sound is worth using. Formed from the ashes of other successful Montreal acts (Chinatown, Le Husky, and more) Statue Park are a band you need to experience live for yourself.
