November 30th – December 2nd, 2012
Projection Booth, 1035 Gerrard Street. East
The Toronto International Film Festival’s (“TIFF”) Midnight Madness Program has Colin Geddes, Toronto After Dark Film Festival (“TADFF”) has Adam Lopez and now The Blood In The Snow Film Festival (“BITSFF”) has the visionary Kelly Michael Stewart.
Why visionary? This is the first and only film festival celebrating the best in contemporary Canadian horror filmmaking. He has single handedly provided a new perspective on Canadian cinema becoming the gilded rainmaker to legions of young directors, producers and screenwriter hoping to push the boundaries in all facets of their craft as they bring their visions to market.
Kelly Michael Stewart has done his homework and it shows. Cutting his teeth on the wildly successful monthly FRIGHT NIGHTS Series, he has aligned himself with industry heavy weights to help make BITSFF a reality. Festival Sponsors Fangoria, Anchor Bay Entertainment, Suspect Video and Shockstock have helped lay the foundation for success. The venue, The Projection Booth is the perfect mix of indie swagger and east end cool. Add to that such industry titans as Geoff Pevere, Chris Alexander and George A. Romero and Mr. Stewart is well on his way to making this late season film fest required Canadiana screening.
