August 13 2012 – The Sound Academy once again became the epicenter of Led Zeppelin in Toronto as Michael White and The White blasted a special show featuring songs from Led Zeppelin’s first four albums (that are possibly entitled Led Zeppelin I, Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin III and Led Zeppelin IV). Michael White has been rocking the Sound Academy as part of his discography series and we have seen all of the shows in this series so far (except for one). Not only is Michael White the most featured artist on T-Mak World, we also interviewed White to get his thoughts on what makes him the world’s most prolific Led Zeppelin tribute band.  Read any one of our reviews to get a sense of how remarkable White is both as a performer and as a person. Here is a quick handy guide to all our previous articles:

Tonight Michael White and The White were as tight as ever and belted out the following Zeppelin hit list:
Good Times, Bad Times
Communication Breakdown
Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You
Immigrant Song
Since I’ve Been Loving You
Rock and Roll
What Is and What Should Never Be
Dazed and Confused
Stairway to Heaven
Battle of Evermore
When The Levee Breaks
Whole Lotta Love
Bron-y-Aur Stomp
The crowd is always enthusiastic at each and every show and this one was no exception. For anyone that has seen these guys deliver their Zep infused show, there is no doubt that seeing Michael White and The White on any given night is probably your best bet for entertainment in Toronto. For anyone who has not seen this band – September 8th is your next chance to follow the discography series at the Sound Academy when they will perform Led Zeppelin’s Presence album. Don’t miss out on that one.

One Response to Michael White and The White – Best of Early Led Zeppelin Concert Review

  1. Toronto Jim says:

Like yourself have been to most of these shows. Don't usually go to clone bands but after seeing them do the first album I was hooked on The White. Was at this show but found the sound uneven, too loud along with feedback. Hope they can get someone who knows how to mix them better. All in all a great show. Look forward to the next one and the rest of the discography.
