ENTER TO WIN AN AUTOGRAPHED IN MY COMA CD HERE June 12 2012 – In My Coma is a Toronto based trio that is no stranger to T-Mak World. We first saw them at Canadian Music Fest playing at the Painted Lady, we also gave them the award for loudest band at Canadian Music Fest for that gig. We interviewed the band here and we gave their album Magnets & Miracles a 4.5 out of 5 rating in this record review. We also have a contest to give away a special copy of the Magnets & Miracles CD autographed by all three members of the band.
Friday June 8th featured In My Coma headlining a set at the excellent Cherry Cola’s Rock N’ Rolla downtown bar. There was a buzz in the audience as Behind The Curtain opened up and delivered a solid set of hard rockin tunes. In My Coma blew away the crowd and really reinforced our assertion that they are truly a band worthy of notice. Jasper James has the guitar playing, vocals, and on stage presence of a real rock star, Mike Paterson hammered the drums with a refreshing display of raw power, and LauraDoll really proved she has major Bass talent to round out the trio (she is also alot better looking than Geddy ;-) ). In the aforementioned Magnets & Miracles CD Review we stated “If you like your music loud and rocking chase down Voices, Hit Them Down Kid or Lined Up Locked Away” and sure enough all of them were highlights of the night. The band played about an hour and the setlist consisted of:
One More Black Hole
Hit Them Down Kid
Crazy World
Losing Sleep
Believe Me
Trip Denes
Homesick
Dreamers
Voices
Lined Up Locked Away
Verdict: Excellent show and we will leave you with a ton of pictures from the event. Suggestion – do NOT miss them next time.
