The first weekend of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is when everyone who is anyone attends TIFF parties in Toronto. One such event was Giorgio Armani’s celebration at The CN Tower, hosted by Roberta Armani and Academy Award-Winning producer and director Edward Zwick in honor of the world premiere of Films of City Frames.
The party celebrated Giorgio Armani’s support of emerging talent in the world of cinema through his recent initiative, Films of City Frames. This was a project involving the most promising students from six prestigious international film schools, whose mission was to create short films against backdrops of metropolitan landscapes, such as New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Rome and Los Angeles, using Giorgio Armani’s new Frames of Life eyewear as a perceptual filter. Earlier that day, the selected films were premiered at the St Lawrence Theatre. The celebrities, media, influencers, and tastemakers were all at hand to honor the young filmmakers at the exclusive cocktail party, and were entertainment by world-renowned DJ, Mark Ronson.
T-Mak World captured on camera most of the A-list stars in attendance. Even though it was a chilly Saturday night, it was an incredible experience to shoot the celebrities, at the same time admire their outfits up close.
Along the black carpet were dozens of black clad Armani attendants to greet, and hold purses for guests that included Richard Gere, Jessica Chastain, Holly Hunter, Laura Dern and Elisha Cuthbert. Denzel Washington was also in attendance, but one minute we were told he was approaching the black carpet, and the next we noticed him walking behind us all trying to avoid the media. Chloë Grace Moretz may have been photographed with Roberta Armani inside the party, but she ran passed the media as well!
Below are some pictures of the stars that graced the Giorgio Armani Black Carpet. Enjoy!
